Cyclical mistakes and foolishness are marking repetitive starting points.
A conscious choice to reflect on everything happening around – half fictional, half realistic. Openings as a survival strategy, permission to be. An action between loneliness and taking care of the other.
Correspondence between two people-friends-artists becomes the artistic action's main component and the performance's starting point. Fragments of several years-lasting correspondence, which today have become history and acquired a new perspective, speak about efforts to overcome yourself, to understand and perceive complex and often paradoxical and absurd life situations, to get rid of loneliness, about the liberating experience of writing or any other reversible (empathetic) action, and the importance of close interrelationship.
The place of the artistic action – a chronicler's yard in Vilnius oldtown – was chosen symbolically due to the sculpture Chronicler by the Lithuanian artist Vaclovas Krutinis, which was placed in soviet times only temporarily and illegally. Accidentally, the sculpture was left to stand here and played an important role while silently witnessing the modern chroniclers.
I can't stand confused people, so I congratulate myself for being one of them.
